Country singer Chris Young arrested. He found himself in a bit of trouble at a Nashville bar recently. Allegedly, he got into an altercation with agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission who were conducting compliance checks.
Court documents shed light on the incident, revealing that Young, with bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech, was arrested on Monday night.
The charges against him include assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest, as per reports from various news outlets citing arrest affidavits.
The agents initially encountered Young at the Tin Roof, where they checked his identification. According to the arrest affidavit, things took a turn when Young started questioning and recording the agents.
Subsequently, he and others followed them into the Dawg House next door. As the agents were leaving that establishment, Young reportedly put his hands out to stop them and ended up striking one on the shoulder.
In response, the agent pushed him to create some distance, as detailed in the affidavit.
Another agent approached Young, who stepped back and refused to follow orders. This led to his physical detention and subsequent arrest, according to the affidavit.
Meanwhile, as agents were trying to leave, several people accompanying Young started following them, escalating the situation into a hostile one.
Attempts to reach out to Young’s representatives for comment on Tuesday through voicemails and emails went unanswered.
